Into the Garden - January 2025

Happy New Year! Happy New Garden!

The festivities have been and gone, now it's time to get back into the garden and start sowing the seeds ready for a great spring and summer season.

Start planning which plants you want to see in your garden for the Spring and Summer seasons. 

If you're looking to add some winter colour to the garden look to plant Hellebores and Snowdrops in flower.

If you're looking to get your vegetable garden started so you have some great home grown produce for the summer you'll want to start your celery, spring onions and salad leaves in the greenhouse now.

Lots of plants will need to be inside greenhouses or on your windowsill with the current chilly weather, but this gives you a great opportunity to watch and enjoy the plants growing. 

Don't forget that our garden critters struggle this time of year, especially our feathered friends, make sure you keep your bird feeders and baths topped up to help them through these chilly and sparse winter months.
